San Jose Mexican - Fort Payne

We ordered takeout from here. My husband got the Chimichanga with chicken. It was very large and he said it was excellent. I got the Quesadilla Hawaiiana. It was huge and delicious. The only warning I have is that the jalapeños are plentiful and spicy hot! The first bite was a surprise, but once I got through it, the dish was a delight. We ordered the Sopapillas for desert. It was crisp, sweet, and the perfect end to the meal.

Not Shredded Beef I ordered my meal thru door dash. A combination 1 enchilada w/shredded beef, 1 Chile relleno with rice and refried beans. Fiesta dip guacamole. The guacamole was awesome. The Chile relleno was okay. Rice beans were good. The thing I didn 't care for was the enchilada was supposed to have shredded beef according to the menu. It wasn 't shredded beef. It was ground beef. Had I known that I wouldn 't have ordered it.

This is a comfortable place to come. For dinner or lunch. There is very nice, lunch menu.

The server was very nice and accommodate about the special requests. The food was very authentic Mexican food ?. Highly recommend for everyone to visit. A large menu to select.

Good portions. Quality ingredients. Would go again.
