Parking can be a challenge but I found a space across the street. They share a space with other businesses so check their social media for days and times they are there. On to the food! The asada and chicken tacos were just average and both meats were dry. I might have gotten a bad batch? I really wanted to like the tacos as good ones are hard to find here. I did like they included pickled vegetables on the side. What stood out was the hot Cheetos burrito which could come off as a gimmick, but I'm happy to say it lived up to the hype. Hot Cheetos is put inside and half the outside is covered with crushed Cheetos. Also inside is asada, tomatoes and cheese for a tasty and unique burrito. I will say to eat it as soon as possible because once the Cheetos inside get soggy they do not taste as good. Interesting how texture can make a big difference! I give the tacos a 3 and hot Cheetos burrito a 4 so averaging up to 4 overall.
I wish they were more mask conscious. The people talking to the customers wear masks, but everyone else is not. I don't know if cooks are supposed to where masks to not contaminate the food, but it's a comfort thing for me. The staff walking around the establishment were all not masked and I didn't feel they were making an effort to keeping the customers safe during a pandemic. The salsa was so so. The carne asada burrito is pretty decent. I'm not a fan of their beans, it took some of the attention away from the meat. The price is very reasonable. Overall, I would give them 5 stars bc for Oahu the burrito is good and the person taking the other is very friendly and welcoming. Minus two stars for the lack of mask wearing for the majority of the staff.
Wow! Delicioso! Thanks Damien, Jay Jay, and Letty (forgive me if I got that wrong) for an outstanding meal! My son had the hot Cheetos burrito and said it was really good. I had the wet burrito, which was so good, too! I didn't get to try them but the pumpkin spice deep fried Oreos made the car smell so good! My son said they were da bomb. Definitely will be back!
Delicious! I wish Damien and his friends much success!
A great new MX restaurant with very affordable $2 street tacos. We tried the Carne asada, chicken, and longanisa. Each was filled to the brim with neat, cilantro and onions. The longanisa also had diced mango. Along with the tacos we had a side of beans and a side of rice $2.50 each, also affordable). My only comment on the food is that they could kick up the flavors somewhat: more oregano, basil, cumin...even more chili. Other than that, which I guess is sort of a big thing, the portions and flavors of everything else were great. The longanisa has a nice pleasant sweet taste. Parking can be a challenge if there is no space in front of the storefront. There's lot across the street and also one down a lane. Not sure if it's legal to park in the one down the lane, but it was empty.
