Contribuisci feedbackThis place is incredible! The staff are so kind and attentive. We had the chicken sheesh plate and it was perfect. I would literally die for their garlic sauce.
Wow!We got the Habibi Mix. $125 and worth it.Lamb chops were amazing.Cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection!Sheesh was great.Kabobs could’ve used a little more love with the seasoning/marinade.The rice was nice and fragrant, pita made there in front of you and came out nice and hot. Garlic sauce is made in house and is to die for, get extra. Came with a nice salad which pair well with the rest of the meats.Definitely going again. This time the only thing we won’t get is the kabobs. I’ve already been recommending this spot to others and we just went the other day. Great service and food ?
I'm a little conflicted because I really enjoyed my recent meal at Habibi Tasty with my family, but I also think they need some work to reach their full potential (and to earn a fifth star). I'll start with the areas that need improvement because if they aren't deal breakers then Habibi Tasty is definitely worth a visit. Habibi Tasty is located on the corner of King and Isenberg streets in a space that was previously a moped store. They added a kitchen and some tables, and now it's a restaurant. Much of the space is left open, and the owners have dedicated a corner as a play area for their children. The space is very informal and feels unfinished, but is otherwise clean and well-lit. Parking can be a real pain, so be prepared to walk a little to get there. We parked next to Kozo Sushi because we initially intended to eat in that area until we saw large crowds and decided to check out Habibi Tasty. Prices are a bit high, to the point that we thought the dishes were intended for family style sharing when in fact they were on the smaller side of a typical plate lunch. $25 gets you maybe 2 chicken thighs, some rice, and a bowl of hummus. If you're still reading and wondering why you should visit, it's all about the food. Habibi Tasty makes delicious food with authentic Middle Eastern flavors. You can almost taste the love that goes into the food, and our chicken dishes came out perfect. We tried both the chicken breast and the chicken thigh sheesh. They were prepared with different marinades, and as a result the dishes tasted very different. The rice was fragrant and tasty, and the hummus was very fresh. We also had the falafel mix which was very tasty, and the saj bread to go with the hummus. Canned/bottled soft drinks are available, or you can bring your own if you prefer alcohol. Service was warm and made the meal feel more like a visit to an old friends house than a meal at a restaurant, a feeling enhanced by the simple decor and the owner's young daughter playfully visiting each table (she seemed about 3 years old and was a sweetheart). We left fully satisfied, and we plan to go back.
Excellent food. Literally the best lamb I've ever had. Think Shaloha (despite the obvious political implications) but like 5x better and I love Shaloha. This is a premium product, and it tastes like it. Great service. The staff could not have been more friendly. Can't wait to come back!
We ordered the Lamb mix plate, definitely recommend. Delicious! Simple ambiance. Owners are inviting. Our few suggestions: a add cold tea iced sweet tea on the menu b more veggies on the lamb plate (my husband loved them, and he cooks alot! and c offer reservations for parties of 4 or more. Or just offer reservations period so people have a better sense of the wait . This place will be even more successful to add these details to elevate the experience. Food was real good! We will definitely return :
