We were one of the last tables to be told to go to the buffet and when we did we found slim pickings of food left and had to wait for everything from plates to main courses. They are on such a tight schedule that they had to start the performance while many of us were still on line for food. So we missed much of the performance while we were eating. The brisket was so tough I could not even cut it with a knife. The pork was very dry and over cooked. The performance mostly made up for the food but it was evident that some of the performers were just phoning it in. As a member of the LGBT community, I found some of the emcees dialog to be rather offensive and outdated. For example, during the hula lesson he made a joke about how men should never shake their hips and insinuated that if you did then you must of course be gay. Overall there are much better options out there but if you are staying at the Hawaiian Village Resort and do not want to leave the premises then this will suit you fine.
The show was great but the food wasn’t as great.
