Chicken 'n The Egg - Fort Walton Beach

To all my fellow Fort Walton Beach locals, you definitely need to check out this place for breakfast. It’s honestly become my new favorite spot! I’m a big fan of the French toast, and you can’t go wrong with eggs and bacon either.

If you're in the mood for an omelette, this restaurant is a great choice. However, everything else we've tried was quite average. I had high expectations for the chicken and waffles, but the chicken turned out to be tough and chewy. The BLT was lacking in bacon and didn't impress. The mimosa was flat as well. Overall, there are definitely better options for your money.

This was our first and last visit. We thought this was a nicer establishment than it actually was. I would compare it to Denny’s. It smelled like sewage when you first walked in, and the bathrooms were not very clean. The tables were super sticky, and the food was all very bland. I got their cold brew coffee, and it just tasted like McDonalds coffee. The waitress was nice, but the food took forever to come out. It was also expensive for the quality of food.

Stopped in Sunday after church. 12 in our party. Hostess was friendly throughout our short wait. Jenna, our waitress, was great. Joked about size of our party while efficiently taking care of us. Everyone loved the food. We would go back on our next Ft Walton visit.

It was ok, but not great. The food was similar to most other breakfast joints, and the service was a bit below average. Our server forgot to bring one of our meals, and when we finally asked about it, she mentioned she had just forgotten to bring it. When we got the meal it wasn't hot anymore. I didn't send it back because by that point everyone else was almost done. I ordered a cup of coffee, and not once was I offered a refill. When we got our check, we waited about 10 minutes for the server to come back to take payment. I ended up taking the kids to the van while my husband asked another employee to get our server so he could pay. Maybe the server was just having an off day. We would eat here again if we happened to be in the area and wanted breakfast/brunch (bonus is that they were open later than most other breakfast places on Sunday), but we won't go out of our way to eat here.
