Crab Trap, Fort Walton Beach

It's a bar! It's a seafood restaurant! And it's right on the beach! What more could you ask for? The staff is fantastic, and the food is delicious! The view of the Gulf is absolutely priceless! I tried the Mahi-Mahi lunch special for $20 (before ordering Margaritas). It's conveniently located near the base of the Okaloosa Island Pier. Life is wonderful in F-L-A!

The restaurant has a lively and welcoming vibe. The food is delicious, and the service is quick and outstanding.

To give you some context, I travel extensively across the country and consider myself a foodie. I'm not bothered by high food prices; I’m more than willing to pay a good amount for exceptional food. Unfortunately, Crab Trap has inflated prices for food that just doesn’t measure up. The crab dip, which used to be quite good, has declined in quality over the last few visits. Just two days ago, we only ordered the dip and then left. I would rate the crab dip a 7 out of 10, while the pita chips served with it are decent, earning a solid 7.5 out of 10. I’ve tried a variety of dishes here over the years, but none of them left a lasting impression, and I can’t even recall exactly what I ordered. I want to be fair in this review. On the positive side, there is ample free parking, the location is fantastic (right on the beach with a beautiful view), the service is consistently quick, the restaurant has plenty of space, and the bathrooms are reasonably clean. Oh, and the Sprite was refreshing!

Good food, great time on the beach and near the Okaloosa Fishing Pier.

The Crab Trap is always a favorite when visiting the area! Great service and views!
