Parson's Son Bbq - Fort Walton Beach

The experience was underwhelming overall. The meat had little to no flavor, which is surprising for a BBQ restaurant — where was the smoky taste? The burnt ends seemed as if they had been made in a slow cooker, and while some ribs practically fell off the bone, others were as tough as jerky. The pulled pork was the standout among the three options, but it still needed a generous amount of sauce to add any real flavor. They do offer a fantastic variety of sauces. The baked beans were enjoyable, but the coleslaw didn't impress. On a positive note, the restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. It could have just been an off day. I might give it another shot, especially since it has a 4.6 rating.

I’ve tried the 6-rib platter twice in the past few weeks, and the ribs are absolutely fantastic. I also really enjoy the green beans as a side dish. They offer a great variety of BBQ sauces, too. A few days ago, my wife ordered the tacos while I had the ribs again. She seemed pleased with her meal, but I was definitely happier with my ribs!

I am absolutely thrilled by a delicious BBQ pork sandwich! I believe that if you need to add sauce, then it’s just not great BBQ. Fortunately, Parson's Son BBQ is exceptional on its own—no sauce needed! It’s truly wonderful without any additions. Their sides are fantastic too. Treat yourself and go dine there!

I have to confess that I'm somewhat of a BBQ enthusiast. With that in mind, I find Parson's to be just average. The BBQ and sides aren't anything special, but they can satisfy a craving if you're in need of some BBQ. The standout, though, was the cobbler—it was absolutely fantastic! If you enjoy slathering your BBQ in sauce, this restaurant is perfect for you. They have a great condiment bar with plenty of sauce choices, pickles, and more.
