It was smaller than I expected, but the garbage plate was delicious, and it had some of the best French toast I’ve ever had. I would definitely go back!

I ordered lunch for the first time today, and it was AMAZING!!! My breaded tenderloin was exactly what I needed. I will definitely be returning! Also, the staff was incredibly sweet!

Owners John and Cindy Scheele whip up diner favorites such as burgers, chili, omelets, corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, and even fried bologna sandwiches. Coffee is served in a delightful array of mismatched mugs, and donuts are provided by Murphy's Dime Store. John also works as a short-order cook, starting each order by scrambling eggs, adding chopped onions, ham, and cheese, and grilling them all to serve on toast. On a recent late morning, my wife and I were lucky enough to snag two stools together. She chose the breakfast special, which included two scrambled eggs with sausage, American fries, and toast, while I opted for grilled corned beef hash with two scrambled eggs, sausage, and toast. What could be more quintessentially American than that?

Good smoking, good service and I dig the atmosphere and nostalgic feelings! It doesn't get more Fort Wayne than Coney Island on Main Street.
