Nice selection of beers and specialty drinks, and the martini flight is a pretty cool idea. Our server was great. He was very attentive and provided just the right amount of levity and banter to make our experience a good one. All of the food was tasty, and after reading another review on yelp (a scathing one) about the ribeye, I had to order one myself. Now this other reviewer seems to be a steak snob, and complained that this steak was not a USDA choice cut . I am no expert, but I thoroughly enjoyed my ribeye (cooked medium). I certainly hope that reviewer sent his overcooked steak back for a new one, though I 'd say they would rather complain on Yelp than fix the problem. I enjoyed several Three Floyds beers on tap, while others in my party liked the Moscow Mules and wine selection. I 'll go back for sure. Don 't let these negative reviews deter you, this is a nice place... And they have free valet parking!
I'm so sad that I have to give this place a two star but my experience just wasn't great. My boyfriend and I decided to come here on a Thursday night for date night and we were a bit surprised at how empty it was. Granted it was Thursday night but it was during dinner rush and happy hour. SERVICE: I read through all the Yelp reviews and people have mentioned that the food wasn't all that phenomenal but service was awesome. I can only agree with one of the two stated. There were maybe 3 tables inside (including us) and 2 tables outside in the patio along with a couple people at the bar. I'm not exactly sure if there was only one server that night but we didn't get the service everyone reviewed about. I was actually getting irritated because our server was not attentive at all. She didn't come greet us when we sat down. When she finally did arrive, we ordered drinks and an appetizer. Drinks came out first but waited 30 mins for our order of edamame to come out.... Edamame! = = I don't think it takes even 10 mins to cook... FOOD: Edamame was eh. Nothing special to be honest. Chicken herb was okay. The chicken was overlooked and dry. The cheese was pretty good but gets kinda blah if you don't eat it quick enough. The scallop wrapped prosciutto with Angel hair pasta was not tasty. AT ALL. It's drenched in oil butter so it's SUPER greasy tasting. On top of that there's NO flavor to it even after adding salt and pepper to it. I couldn't eat it. : Overall , I would only come here for drinks NOT for food. Their drinks are good and better during happy hour. It's 5$ martinis from 4-7 on Thursdays.
Looking for a great place to eat and enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne? Look no further. I have a suggestion for you- Main Street Bistro. Ambience is perfect with a pleasant view of Freiman Square Park adjacent to the Art Museum. The menu is delightful with a perfect range of choices, from seafood to steaks to pastas. We had a large party so we were able to try a wide variety of selections. I had scallops over risotto. The scallops were perfect but my risotto could've been cooked a little longer. Regardless, my meal was delicious and the lobster mac and cheese was scrumptious. I also tasted my hubby's ribeye and that was also amazing.
Had a nice date night out with my guy , it was nice quite not to many people there and that was ok with me . I had walleye fingers and a Caesar salad . He had fettuccine Alfredo and a Caesar salad also. We topped it off with some hot bread and some crroc Barry martini . Our waitress was nice and friendly, I really enjoyed this place ... my go to date night spot .
The first time we came here, shortly after their opening, my fiance and I just had drinks and an appetizer. They were okay, and I said I wouldn 't write this place off until they had been opened for awhile and I had tried more items off their menu. Unfortunately, my return to them a few weeks back was disappointing. The staff 's overall attitude was a bit astonishing to me. The host was usually slumped over the podium by the front door, head in hand, and mumbled out have a great evening to me on a few occassions. Our table waiter was sarcastic at times. Before meeting up with friends, my fiance and I decided to order a drink at the bar. I ordered a negroni, and the bartender asked me to say it again. I thought I was mumbling, so I repeated myself, and she enthusiastically replied with, Oh, Okay! . She proceeded to get my fiance his beer, do something in the back for a few minutes, and then came to me and apologized for not knowing what that drink was. I ordered a vodka on the rocks with a lime, and when she made and delivered that, she told me Just so you know, I know what that drink is now, so we can make it for you. That whole situation was baffling to me why would you agree to make a drink that you don 't know how to make, then come back to me and tell me you don 't know how to make it, and then AFTER you take my order for the new drink, tell me you know how to make the original drink now?! That whole bar debacle aside, when we met up with our friends and ordered our appetizers and dinners, I was even more disappointed. First, they forgot our appetizer order and had to bring that later than everyone else 's, which was very close to our dinner being brought out. The poutine appetizer was good, but not spectacular, and it was huge and very heavy easily four people could share that. My fiance had the filet, which he ordered medium, and it came so rare there were parts of it he couldn 't eat. I ordered the scallops wrapped in prosciutto they were decent, but again, nothing spectacular. We will not be back.
