Outstanding restaurant! The lady that waited on me was amazing and very helpful with the menu definitely want to try a little bit of everything! And how cool is the presentation of everything!! And VERY good priced
Enjoyed the Moon Fire roll! The hibachi chicken had a nice flavor without any sauce. Definitely will return for another nice and quick lunch.
This place was rated high and so I stopped and was not disappointed! There were only a couple things that stopped me from giving it a 5 star, but they were minor. But let's start with the awesome stuff: their sushi! First, the menu was great, easy to read and didn't have an overwhelming number of choices. I like things a little more simple, plus they had clear, accurate pictures of their main rolls. And speaking of rolls, I ordered spicy rolls like normal, but here at NORI they were actually spicy! I cannot tell you how happy that made me! I chose the Nagasaki Roll, a Spicy Salmon and Spicy Whitetail. Presentation was great as you can see in the pictures and they tasted even better. The only couple minor downsides was the assumption made by hostess that I was there to pick up an order. As a single guy, this happens to me a lot at places and I'd love to see that change. Lol The other thing is that the bathroom toilet seat was missing its fasteners. Makes use a little awkward. Haha
We met a couple of friends at this place for a later lunch. Asian fusion restaurants are interesting because they are attempting to bring together some of the best dishes from different Asian restaurants and offer a variety of dishes. This place has pad thai, curry dishes, sushi, hibachi and typical Japanese restaurant fare, and some fried rice offerings. I'm going to have to just give this one three stars because the food just simply wasn't that amazing. Our group got a couple of hibachi dishes, The Love boat, and a couple of individual roles. We also ordered a bottle of the Apple sake. Overall the place is nice, comfortable seating, and a nice atmosphere. As far as the food goes the Hibachi definitely wasn't the best that we've tasted. Sakura off of Jefferson Road definitely holds that banner at this point. The sushi was good and I enjoyed the rolls. I would have to go back a couple of times to try to figure out what my favorite roll at this store would be but since it's on the other side of town I'm thinking that I'll stick with Sakura on Jefferson and get stuff that we know will be amazingly good every time.
