Sweets So Geek - Fort Wayne

I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Sweet so Geek in Fort Wayne, IN. I paid $80 for a custom 9" cake, but what I received was not at all what I had expected. The management was not willing to make any concessions and simply stated that their baker did his best. I spoke to the manager, Chad, who claimed that the cake matched the picture I had provided, but it was far from it. I would caution others against ordering a custom cake from this establishment unless they are prepared to receive a subpar product. I will not be returning and will be sure to share my experience with others.

I ordered a cake for my birthday, but unfortunately the baker/designer was not available and the lady who took our order could only handle simple requests. We didn't want to order online, so we decided to place the cake order in person. When the cake finally arrived, it was unimpressive in design and very dry and dense in texture. I was extremely disappointed. It seems other reviewers have had similar experiences, so it's not uncommon for this place to have issues like the ones I encountered. I could overlook the lackluster design as a miscommunication, but the unpleasant texture of the cake is unforgivable.

I have always lived near one of their shops and have enjoyed the delicious chocolate they sell. So, when my partner and I decided to try more from their menu at Sweets So Geek, we were pleasantly surprised. Chad took the time to speak with each couple and cater to their dessert preferences. On the big day, everything went smoothly and the cake was not only delicious but also plentiful enough to serve the head table and both reserved tables. The guests couldn't stop raving about the cupcakes, and even my brother, who isn't a fan of sweets, couldn't get enough of them. Another great perk is that they provide a complimentary cake for your one-year wedding anniversary, so no freezer cake for us!

I called Sweets So Geek in the middle of the week that they had the availability to make a cake for my wife's birthday. Man I talked to: Yes, and when I told him I wanted the cake to end by weeks, he was more than courteous. I told the decorator what I wanted and gave them artistic freedom. When I picked up the cake, I was totally blown away. The detail was incredible, the taste was delicious and they had made my cake early! 1000% I will buy again from Sweets So Geek. Beautiful people who are very friendly. I highly recommend it!

This is so disappointing my son and wife go here to indulge in your guys amazing treats. We decided since there chocolates were so delicious that their cakes would be too, unfortunately we were wrong our funfetti pickachu cake we had gotten for our sons birthday was dry and crunchy and inedible for the price we payed we expected better. No one at my son's birthday enjoyed it was quite sad. Sorry to say we won't be returning.
