Dixie House Cafe 5 - Fort Worth

The food was okay, but the prices were surprisingly high. Kids meals were nearly $13! I understand food service prices have gone up across the board, but it seemed worse here compared to other similar restaurants.

Breakfast was good, I ordered pastrami sandwich, flavor was good unfortunately they cut meat wrong and it was very tough. Everything else was very good. Just a mistake most likely, will definitely go back through.

My family went for breakfast. My kid got a pancake kids meal. It was served in the shape of a Mickey Mouse head. I got the Amigas plate (kind of a southwestern egg scramble served with salsa). The biscuits were good- better eaten with butter and jelly than gravy. I wish the gravy had sausage crumbles. I enjoyed the experience thoroughly.

Friendly helpful staff; cool, laid back kind of atmosphere food was super!! I will be back again soon!!

My wife and I enjoy this quiet little place. The food is always consistent. Old school comfort food. For me the corn bread has a good flavor though it's a little dry for MY taste. You can tell the mashed potatoes are made in house for me a tad more butter and milk. The chicken fried chicken is delicious and my wife always gets the pot roast. Desserts are in house made again old school. It is a comfy place to enjoy a meal that just feels like home. Enjoy.
