The most beautiful huh I ever thought of my finger. there's something that's so indescribable good at this huh. I don't know if it's a cripple that's skill, or just the absolute taste they can get from it. I can't recommend that I'll still give this a five-star, just because of the food, but I still have some things I want to address. when I got my food, a worker took his nose when he got my utensils. I didn't do anything about it because it's not the type I was, but I thought that was something you should talk about. it would be very appreciated if all employees wore gloves. the same man threw a few things away in the müll without gloves, someone took the order in the ipad that they have there, and then delivered them their food without gloves. remember when they order in the restaurant their food comes in an open dish, so there is a good chance that you can come to eat in contact with their fingers. if they order the takeover, it will come in a container, so it is a bit safer, but I do not doubt his acts yet.
Gus was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Our fried pickles with dipping sauce was excellent, our chicken and Mac n cheese was delicious, and our sweet tea topped it off! We truly enjoyed ourselves and will DEFINITELY BE BACK! This is a cultural place so I loved that too! The building is older but has character with charm and it was clean (I do recommend a little renovation soon). I adored the old school goodies that played in the background as well. Another highlight was the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE we received. I can’t remember her name but she truly has compassion and delightfulness in what she does! My only con was the frozen or canned greens. I lived in Memphis for 5 years and they serve fresh greens. As well the pecan pie tasted old and it definitely wasn’t fresh. I prefer whole pecans on my pie too instead of crushed (just my preference). Gus again, is truly a gem that everyone should try!
Good spot. Kinda pricey. I got a 3 piece chicken with macaroni and fries and it came to 14 bucks. I had it before in Atlanta and it was really good. I think the chicken I got today was kind of burnt. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars. The place was packed when I went in though. Parking also kind of sucks.
Gus is a classic! this is homemade cooking very well made. they serve only spicy style so wary when they are sensitive, but overall not super hot when they have a decent tolerance. the chicken comes fast, but it is still fresh and it comes hot and crispy. can not go wrong with any side as well as cake to finish the meal!
