Luby's - Fort Worth

My friend and went about two. He ordered the chicken pig, Braunschweig, green beans, spiced rice and a drink. I ordered chicken fried steak, white engraving, fried cauliflower, roll, potatoes with white engraving and a drink. Where should I start? Our chicken steak was warm. The severity was hot. The green beans were COLD, the rice WAS COLD. The potatoes with white engraving were warm. The cauliflower was COLD COLD, I told the waiter, he said well, you want me to warm it up. Yeah, he warmed up the cauliflower. I will never recommend this place to everyone. The best part was the ice.

Came during lunch and had only a few options to choose from. The food was warm, but not hot. Tables were dirty. The waitress was great.

Little experience. We knew we didn't tell kids about the children's special, so children were wasted with a lot of food that they didn't eat. Some of them we ate. And I'm not a violent person, so we ate what we could. Staff friendly, funny, welcoming.

The cashier (ebonee) who works today 5/29 at 1:45 is over rude and ran my card several times only to deliberately delete it. When I told her it didn't work that way, she got huffy to announce her, doesn't know how to do her job. (News flash-she doesn?t) She then shook my food dish with my disabled mothers and fathers rudely to the side, not even to help us carry them to the table or even ask an employee to help. I thought it was very interesting how offered to help any other African American family, but not my white older parents! Racist or ageist-choose one! The manager refused to give me a refund for the double transaction, which went thru and does not care how their team operates the line. the manager could not even have eye contact or care that we receive abhorrent service! Terrible lack of customer service!! Don't come here! They are rude and steal from you! I'll cancel the BOTH transactions on my card. You don't earn my money or anyone else?!

Definitely the best Lubys currently open by far. Amazing sides and really nice staff. The Mac and cheese was so creamy and the sautéed cabbage was perfectly seasoned and still slightly crispy and sweet with bits of flavorful bacon. Please support this Texas institution.
