My wife and I stayed here for one night as we traveled the Scotland loop. I was drawn to the quirky style and unique opportunity to stay in a different kind of B&B. The dinner was decent, the BBQ chicken wasn't quite what we are used to back home, but the breakfast was delicious. The coffee...so good! I didn't realize how much I missed a decent cup o joe until I drank the coffee here. The staff was really helpful and we had great conversations with the owner and his son who provided laughs and wonderful tips on local sights. We loved the energy of this place and are so glad we stayed outside of Inverness. The surrounding town is really cute and made for a delightful place to walk around.
What a lovely cosy craft bar with an amazing Whisky bar too. If you love local food, this is the place for you, except it has American twist too, check out the menu!! The staff are so knowledgeable about everything, made us so welcome, especially our dog Cameron. If we lived here it would certainly be our local for drinks and food. Thank you for your hospitality Jim.
100% the exterior is deceptive but do not let this deter you. This evening we have had a lovely evening. Felt welcome from our arrival. Food was really lovely Staff were very attentive and bar staff had a wealth of knowledge when you needed assistance on which of the 200+ whiskys to chose from. Our dog B had a lovely time too as are very dog friendly. Will.be back
A great experience from the moment we checked in. Proprietors were cool, staff helpful, food great, rooms comfortable and quirky, and the overall vibe warm and relaxed. Fortrose was a great base for walks around a lovely part of the world. Highly recommended, will be back.
