Contribuisci feedbackMy wife and I have been going here for years. The owners of the golf course have taken over the restaurant since the previous restaurant owner retired. I am told the chef is the former sous chef. The food is fair. The fish is from a box, not hand dipped, not good. The steak and cheese sub is quite large but has a strange taste to it. Not to my liking anymore. The fries tasted good but were not crispy. Most of the dinner menu is of Mexican fare. Maybe it's good but there are a lot of Mexican restaurants within a short drive. I find it's a limited menu because it lacks variety. Fountain Hills only has a couple of good restaurants and sadly, this is not one of them anymore. Hopefully things change as they grow into the new role of restaurant management.
The food here used to be ok when Tim was running the Grill. The new management doesn't know anything about food. Most of my friends are staying away in droves. Get a better kitchen manager!
Called Friday morning to see if a reservation was needed for Friday night. Was told, “no and that it hasn’t been too busy” we drove in from Scottsdale at around 6 and the place was packed! We pleasantly waited in anticipation for a yummy fish fry. They had live music and a nice ambiance. I know new owners will soon take over but please don’t change anything. I really want to come back with my family and see how the new owners are doing but if a lot has changed, it would be a great disappointment.
The views are fantastic, but I have not been impressed with the food here. Not the place to go for Friday fish. Was a frozen pre breaded fillet. Atmosphere feels like a cafeteria loud and bright.
The menu touted that the beef was an Angus hormone-free patty grilled to perfection. However, when I had the hamburger, the patty was more dry than juicy. And did not have the taste of a high quality meat. It was bland. The bun was okay and fresh and the lettuce and onions were fresh. My wife had a buffalo chicken salad. The chicken was very heavily breaded. And it did not taste fresh. It almost tasted like it had been thawed and heated up. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The view is fantastic. However, the quality of the food compared to what was advertised I did not feel was accurate.
