Pauls Coffee Shop - Fountain Valley

Paul's Coffee Shop is a great place for a delicious breakfast. My kids loved experiencing the display of all the armed forces items and were able to ask some good questions about our veterans. Delicious food was served on military mess hall trays and the employees and service was friendly and fun. Be sure to thank a veteran while you're there!

Absolutely the best breakfast in Orange County! The food is consistently fantastic, and the customer service is excellent. I had the largest chicken fried steak I've ever seen!

I tried the pastrami sandwich, and it was just okay—there wasn’t much meat on it, and the fries were similarly underwhelming. Our server kept asking us to contribute to a drawing that seemed to be for a veteran’s charity, which felt a bit excessive. She asked every five minutes until my friend, who I was having lunch with, finally donated $10. Even after that, she kept asking if we wanted to enter, which was frustrating since we had just given. The restaurant was featured on the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives show, but honestly, it didn’t live up to the hype.

Awesome little diner. If you are down with that real, old school diner feel, then this is your place. Also, they have SOS, if you like military food!
