Hidden gem in Tasmania's Tamar Valley! I have traveled extensively and was pleasantly surprised by this quaint cafe in the countryside. The customer service was exceptional, ranking at 11 out of 10, and the chef's meals were equally outstanding. I tried the daily special, Salmon Patties with a side of fresh salad, and it was absolutely perfect. My partner enjoyed the Turkish Vegetable roll, which was also perfect. Our friends ordered the soup of the day and a late breakfast for a Keto Diet, both of which received high praise. I could go on and on about how much we loved everything, but I know that once the word gets out, we may never be able to secure a table again.
This cafe is truly a hidden gem! We stumbled upon it while searching for a coffee and breakfast spot on our way to St. Helen's. As soon as we pulled in, we were greeted by chickens and treated to a beautiful landscape surrounding the quaint cafe. The strawberry jam was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was great. The hot chocolate was a hit with our driver. The staff and owner were incredibly friendly. Don't pass up the chance to visit this charming cafe!
The scones were good and the real jam and cream was delicious. The falafel special with beetroot mash was incredibly good. Great atmosphere with friendly staff and chickens in view out the windows.
A hidden 'gem ' virtually in the middle of nowhere but well worth a visit for brunch/lunch or just a coffee. Very neat, tidy and well maintained. Menu is relatively limited along with a 'Todays Special ' menu board. We all tried something different and found them moderately priced but really worth it being quite tasty and fresh. We found the staff, particularly the young girl serving at the front counter and tables very friendly and helpful. This girl (whose name unfortunately we don 't know) never stopped working, working the front counter, cleaning tables, serving orders and just checking with customers for anything required good to see 'old fashioned service ' from such a young person. I would recommend booking prior to attending 'just in case ', particularly if there are a few in your party, as customers were steady but, on occasion, came in small waves. Seemed to be plenty of seating both inside and out. Also, as an aside, the toilets were found to be very clean and well maintained and serviced.
