Friendly attentive staff, great food, comfortable atmosphere what is not to like? My fiancee and I shared a mixed platter (we got the variety with meat and enjoyed every dish. We also tried their take on crème brûlée and really liked it. I had a glass of their housemade tej (on the menu it 's called 'mes ' , which was wonderful.
If you are not from Ethiopia or Eritrea, you can enjoy the adventure of eating in an exotic place. For those who know how to taste it, it is extremely poor quality, too much spices, too oily. If you ask a mixed non vegetarian dish, you only get one meat and other vegetarian (bad quality) food. Essen Ther does not give the Habesha kitchen the value she deserves. But the German waiter was very friendly and friendly. The owner/cook also came to ask if we did not like the food, which shows that they are customer-oriented
The first thing we were told as soon as we set ourselves was that our table is reserved only for 2 hours! This was not mentioned to us at the time of booking, and it is quite open, but it should not be the first thing to say after welcoming guests! After we mentioned that we were not aware of this thing, a second person came to us to explain that we should think the restaurant as a business and it is financially clever to book tables for only 2 hours! Seriously? I didn't need so much explanation and the greed totally ruined my mood! The food is ok, but in all honesty there are a few good African restaurants in Frankfurt and I am definitely not recommend this one to everyone!
