Schwarzer Stern - Frankfurt am Main

We had a family dinner and were fully satisfied as Frankfurter. The food fully complied with our ideas. The service was very friendly. Unfortunately we had a demonstration on the Roman, so the food outside was unpleasant. But that's what's on the Roman. Overall very good recommendation.

I had ordered a table for 7 people in the restaurant. When we arrived, it was very warm so we wanted to sit outdoors. The staff had already reserved a table on the terrace. This was perfectly predicted.

No reservations on arrival. Personal uber Reservation no info. Food: cute, small portion. expensive,not addressed quality. By the way, staff is very lax. Long wait for numbers. Never again in Frankfurt.

Very central restaurant. Maybe something overpriced. in principle is recommended

I go to Schwarzer Stern every time I am in Frankfurt (once every 5 months or so). The ambiance is traditional German and it is in a picturesque part of the Altstadt. The food is always excellent--traditional German dishes--and the wait staff is warm and accommodating whether one speaks German or not. Some of them even recognize me when I come in. The prices are reasonable and it is a good value. It is one of my favorite restaurants.
