Maguro House Tea House - Franklin

I placed an online order at 6:50 with a scheduled pickup time of 8:00 PM. I didn't receive any time estimate prior to ordering. When I arrived at 8:00 PM, I got a message that my order was delayed. I was informed that it would take an additional 15 minutes. Now, it’s 8:27 PM, and I'm still waiting in the lobby. Wish me luck! (Update) I finally received my order at 8:40 PM, nearly two hours after ordering just two dinner items and an appetizer.

Forget the food – you'll be lucky if it arrives in a reasonable timeframe. We placed an online order and anticipated some waiting, but when we received an estimated wait time of an hour, it caught us off guard. We decided to wait it out anyway. However, once we arrived at the restaurant to pick up our order, we ended up waiting an additional half hour. There's a Chinese restaurant right across the street that serves delicious food and never takes longer than 20 minutes, but we thought we'd give this place a shot. Never again! If I wanted to wait an hour and a half for a pickup order, I could just head to Boston and enjoy a quality meal there. This experience was absolutely ridiculous.

Update: I visited Maguro tonight and found it empty when I walked in, which gave me a chance to check out the surroundings. I rang the bell, and my order was brought out. I have to reiterate—everything was amazing! The fried Tokyo roll was the standout for me; it's definitely the best!

This place has delicious sushi and rice balls for great prices. The wait can get pretty long at certain times for to go orders, but it's so so worth it! Highly recommend trying out all the different kinds of onigiri, very delicious!

Worst ever! Worst service, if you could even call it that. Worst attitudes, slowest staff, longest waiting, and they deny certain people (delivery driver's) use of their bathrooms. It's posted all over the place. I'm pretty sure that's illegal in this country. It's definitely immoral and barbaric behavior. Food sucks anyway. This place is purely awful. Don't go here. Ichigo Ichi is down the road near the 99 Restaurant in Franklin. You'll get far better sushi and service there. Avoid Maguro House at all costs!
