Pescatore’s is a beautiful restaurant. I made a reservation and when we came to the table, we had a poster card with my name on it. that was a nice note. the waitress was new and did not know much about the menu and fought with our order. we ordered a starter and she came back later and asked if we had ordered a starter. for my meal I chose the grigliata mista dell adriatico (drilled adria seafood on a bed of vegetables). the taste of eating was very good, but when it came out, it was not hot and the calamari was rubbery. my wife had the fish of the day that was psychic. Usually, see bass is served in thicker portions, but this dish was filled. she said that the sea bass was good, but the sea bass is a very mild fish and it had a balsam stone glaze that she said exaggerated the meal, as the fish was filled and was a little thin. during the meal the hostess came to our table and checked us. She informed us that the waitress was at her first day. that was nice of her to inform us. the ambiente of the restaurant is beautiful. parking lots are abundant. after dinner I had a cappuccino that was excellent. my wife ordered the lemon ice cream for the desert. she was excited because the menu showed that it was served in a real lemon half. we were recently in italia and they ordered that some paintings were there and they enjoyed them very much. this is in the way it was served where we were in italia. Unfortunately, when the dessert arrived, it was in a class, though in a very nice class with a stiel. I feel that if a restaurant is used and items are listed differently than in the menu, the umbrellar should be notified so that they have the opportunity to change their mind. overall we had a good time. I think that a device that calculates the prices that this restaurant does should make a better job. I will probably not come back as there are many other options here in chicago.
This was our second time at Pescatore. Both times, the food was amazing and service was top notch. I wish we lived a little closer because this would definitely be one of our regular places to visit for a night out.
Met my cousin for a lunch. The power was out (no fault of theirs) so they sat us in the only room with natural light. We were assured they Could cook food with backup generator. Tables and menus were sticky. Waiter did not offer bread to us. Said the soup was minestrone which sounded good. There were no specials. Ordered a salad and a cup of the soup. He returned and said they were out and the soup was bean soup (yuck)! There was another loud couple in the room with natural light and that was it. We had a good time catching up despite the average quality of food and average service for an above average price for lunch. I would pass on this place.
Always a delicious, authentic meal with genuine hospitality.
