Great service, fantastic food, great atmosphere. Highly recommend the banquet. For our family of 4 with teenagers there was plenty and it was delicious
I am a vegetarian and I am always looking for restaurants that cater to that so as soon as I saw the vegetarian menu I had to try, especially cause they 've given mock meats a go! The decor is gorgeous! A lot of people call it tacky but it really does make you feel happy about being out and not at boring old home. I have only ever gone on week nights so have yet to witness how they handle a busy Saturday night. The service is OK, I didn 't have too much trouble but agree with other reviewers that they could be a bit more attentive especially if they want more drink sales. The menu is huge but most of it I had no idea what it was going to taste like so it is hard to decide, it would be nice if the waiters were interested in helping with pointing towards popular dishes. I went with the satay mock duck with a side of rice noodles. It is hands down the best satay dish I have ever had, and the duck meat was of perfect texture I couldn 't believe it. I do recommend getting a side of rice or noodles because the 'meat ' and veggies won 't be completely filling for most. The drink prices are quite good as are the meals. I usually end up spending $20-25 for myself if I only get one drink. Overall I do suggest giving this place a go because if you select the correct meal you will be obsessed because their meals are of consistent quality!
I 've been here many times and consider it a local favourite. It is a bit of a weird experience and when compared with the vietnamese on Victoria Street comes in second on both taste and price but first for novelty. The decor looks like it was installed in 1973 directly over the that of a greek restaurant. Think tacky asian over vine leaf wrapped columns. Food is good and the menu has an amazing 'vegetarian meats ' section of which some is good and some to be avoided. Do NOT order the vegetarian abalone hotpot unless you 're doing it out of interest it is weird. As is the side salad iceberg lettuce, curled carrot and chilli. Totally out of place on an asian plate (and be careful as you might be tricked into thinking the chilli is red capsicum. It 's not). I give this the high rating because I find dining here entertaining on so many levels. It can get busy, service is friendly but can be slow at times.
Nice Vietnamese food in Frankston. The staff are helpful and the food is delicious. I've visited Nha Trang multiple times and have never been disappointed, however, I think you do have to know what to order here. We order the spring rolls, the sugar prawns and get the Vietnamese pancakes if they're available!!!
