China Restaurant Mandarin - Frechen

Especially after a weekend of giving seminars, my husband and I often phoned through on the way home and ordered some dishes. By the time we were home, we could pick our food up. Quite often in between we just fancy Peking Duck and they can rustle it up in ten minutes or so early evening. That's great. we like to dine at home these days. Also before Covid when we used to go shopping more at the Rhine Centre, we'd pop in after the shops closed and took advantage of their delicious buffet. Ordered from this restaurant and the chop suey had metal pieces in it (from a steel sponge). We complained and they sent a refund voucher that didn't even cover the cost of the meal.

The restaurant was quite busy for a Sunday but luckily we got a table for 6 with no appointment. Very friendly and nice staff but somehow it seemed like they underestimated the evening and maybe should’ve had more service/ kitchen staff, if possible. Anyway, we started with drinks that came quickly and went on to the all you can eat buffet. The selection is very basic, there was nothing very special that would keep you want to come back to the restaurant, however, it was a fair amount of meaty meals, with vegetables or fried. Apart from the main, you also had a good option of fruits and sweet desserts. It is definitely not the place for delicious sushi and it seemed like the kitchen was struggling to prepare and keep up with demand. It was very simple sushi and a bit sad looking. All in all, We were only able to get a piece of everything from the buffet because we sat for a long while. It was all quite greasy but not more than you’re used to anyway. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone around the area for lunch or dinner. The family run business is like mentioned, very warm and heart filled, even with stress!

Eat them low quality. sweet-sour was pure sugar
