Sorry to hear..we have eaten there many times when we stayed at Oconee State Park.. We are coming up again in a couple weeks and will miss you guys.

Website said they closed at 8:30pm on Thursday, but they close at 8. We got there at 7:55 and owner told us to come on in and eat. Really good food and friendly service. Would recommend this place.

Kim, the owner, is a Hoot. She pours her soul into all her food. Amazing burgers, hamburger steaks and ridiculously good battered chicken breast. You gotta try this place

Mountain Rest Cafe is a friendly spot with a family type atmosphere. They have great burgers for a quick lunch and tasty combos for a supper that 's just a little bit more. Try the clam strips. They have just the right crunch but not over done. There 's also some hand dip ice cream for the kiddos!

Fantastic little out of the way place with good food friendly staff. It's not Ruth Chris, but it's fantastic little place.
