Wife and I finally get a date night, we're going in and it's pretty busy. they tell us about 30 minutes waiting, no problem. we go and sit on the bar, there was a dame that made daiquiri’s so that we didn’t disturb them, we waited until she was finished and said good evening to her she looked at us and kept us ignored after a few trying to get her attention, she finally recognized us. While we waited for them, I noticed that there was a hand full of fruit flies around us and the bar back, we asked for a few of their special drinks and at first she looked at us in total confusion, so we point them to her on her 1 and only drink menu again a confused look then we realized that she did not speak English, which she then pointed to her drink menu and then she cried out. we then sit on an open bank to finish our waiting. we are finally called to our table when we went to our table, I saw a cleanness was terrible eating and egg dishes everywhere our cook looks like it had not washed in a week. he tried to be entertaining but fell short. the distance between each food course was long and when he made his wobble volcano, he had his little plastic man who sprayed a kind of liquid on fire and our eating not even 10 minutes after leaving the restaurant, my wife and I ran for the bathroom.
Very awesome food. The cook we had was not very engaged and fun like the usual. But i will make a return trip and try again!
Dinner was excellent, we walked in without a reservation and although we were told it would be a 30 min wait we were seated within 10. Seating staff was pleasant and seemed to want to help. Wait staff was very attentive and kept my drink full. Chef did an excellent job preparing the meal, steak shrimp fried rice were all cooked excellent chicken was a little over done but still tasty. Overall excellent experience and will return to eat here again.
The best in town.I went somewhere else and they put so much soy sauce, I couldn’t eat my meal. It was too salty. I asked Chef Abraham what is it that the food at Otani doesn’t taste salty. He said “it’s out teriyaki sauce, we don’t use much soy, we use our own home made teriyaki”I totally recommend this place. If you come, ask for Chef Abraham. He is great!
I was here last night and have been going for the past 5 years, never again. The new hostess who takes your name when you come in is extremely nasty. She lacks professionalism and has a bad attitude. I will dine somewhere else with a more friendly staff.
