The Pig Pitt - Fredericksburg

This was our first visit to this restaurant. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich and I ordered the pork sandwich. We both had sweet potatoes and coleslaw on the side. The portions were large and everything was delicious. We also ordered a homemade peach cobbler to go because we were too full to eat anything else after our meal. The menu offers great daily specials as well. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning in the future.

GATED FOOD. I ordered the two meat plate with Ribs Pork; had two sides of Mac Cheese and Baked Beans. The food? Excellent cooked. The service? I literally can't complain. I am satisfied, full and willing to come back and burden my paycheck. If you're in the area and like BBQ? You have to come here.

I tried the Pig Pitt for the first time for lunch today, and it exceeded my expectations! The BBQ pork was incredibly tender and flavorful. I also had the Mac and cheese which tasted like homemade, and the coleslaw had the perfect amount of dressing and tasted fresh. The woman at the counter was very helpful and we had great conversations while I waited. I will definitely be returning for more!

We loved this little place in downtown Fredericksburg. The food was delicious! Nice clean! The fresh pig skins were amazing! We will return!

Horrible food and experience. Placed an order for delivery. Restaurant got the order wrong; even the container noting the item was wrong, but order ticket clearly stated what the items should have been. They gave me fries when I had ordered baked beans, which were cold and had no salt or any flavor. Also, ordered a large peach cobbler and received a small. It was soggy and just wasn't good at all. Potato salad was very bland with no flavor. Texas Toast was a dry, stale piece of bread. Chocolate cake wasn't fresh; it was dry and tasted old. Brisket was dry and like cardboard, also not much flavor. Pulled pork was the only decent part of the two dinners we purchased, but the experience was so disappointing, no one wanted the pork. Not sure how you can mess up a simple order, or not serve fresh or seasoned food (bbq typically is full of flavor), but we won't be ordering from here again.
