Appreciate having a new all you can eat option in the area. The food was good as was the service. A few areas of consideration for the owners: I think the atmosphere could be improved upon. There is a fish tank in the dining area that is mostly empty with 1/3 water and full of algae in need of care. I am hoping there is not a fish living in this tank. This was a bit unsettling to sit beside. We also had a christmas tree decoration with ornaments on our table which was odd in April. The ordering system is pretty classic for all you can eat sushi where you fill out a sheet of paper. The restaurant reuses the sheet for multiple rounds of ordering bringing it back to the table when the first order is complete. But the sheet came back to us from the server with oil stains and dried food/sauce I presume from the kitchen. Might be worth considering a different approach to managing this part of the experience. Price is higher than some sushi experiences in other provinces, but understandable for the type of food ingredients they are using and the low level of demand for the area.
This small cozy clean Restaurant with a friendly atmosphere is a Wonderful place to have some Delicious Asian food. It has an excellent array of dishes and they are very tasty and delicious plus plentiful. There were 5 of us and each of us had something different. We were all very happy and we will definitely be going back again next time when in Fredericton. Service: Dine in

I chose this place because of a mention on Reddit. Then I looked at the reviews and it appeared to be well received. I love sushi and cannot get enough, however, I was very disappointed in the Lotus Cafe. As soon as I entered I was given a seat and a menu, there was one small sign saying “All you can eat sushi”. I asked for the all you can eat and the attitude of the person working changed. They went from being indifferent to annoyed. I was the hastily explained that I had 2 hours to eat and any waste was charged a full price. No problem, that’s pretty typical. I ordered the spicy miso soup and it was ice cold. The sushi came out pretty quick. Their salmon nigiri was ok but the fish appeared to be glossy. Smell and texture were fine. Their fire salmon nigiri was excellent! Then I ordered two maki rolls. They were both disgusting. Strong fishy flavour (like cheap and old fish sticks). Their Japanese green tea was awful. I have eaten sushi in many places across Canada and the world and hands down this is one of the worst sushi experiences I’ve ever had. I would also like to caveat my review with the fact that I went there mid afternoon mid week so it may be better at peak but, keep in mind that they seem to be using old ingredients.
