Freeland's food is always delicious, but their weekly specials are are also generous and good deals. We generally get two meals out of each order and know the quality will still be there.
4 pollock Johnny's with no sauce on a gigantic roll, Maryland crab soup that was essentially tomato soup, cream of crab that was essentially room temp milk that had rice in it?? , a burnt crab cake. But the onion rings were good. Burning that 50 bucks would have been more satisfying.
Typical for Maryland seafood for a small place.... and decent food. Though there is NOT much to choose from either around here ! just my opinion.
We have only gotten crabs from here before and they were delicious! but we got 3 dozen fresh Chincoteague oysters today and I had to post a review! Wow. Some of the best oysters I have had and I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay! Wonderfully salty and the perfect texture. We had them raw and under the broiler before finished in garlic butter. They are now my favorite go to for seafood!
