Brickyard Freeport Formerly Lucy’s Riverside Café

I met up with my family at this restaurant, and the owner even reopened his freshly cleaned kitchen just to prepare their incredible po' boy sandwiches for me. I can't stop thinking about them! The atmosphere, service, and food were all fantastic—what more could you want? They use local ingredients that are always fresh. Make sure you stop by; you won’t regret it! They’re at Freeport's Community Market every month, offering amazing specials and outdoor dining. Great people and a delightful experience all around. Food: 5/5.

The atmosphere felt a bit dreary, but we were fortunate enough to sit by a window, which helped brighten the experience somewhat. The biggest downside, however, was the drink situation—only bottled sodas were available, with no fountain drinks. Our daughter struggled to find something to order and was told "sorry, we’re out" several times. After her sixth attempt, she finally settled for a glass of water! Overall, we probably won’t be coming back, as there are other restaurants in the area that we enjoy much more.

This place is fantastic! The toast is incredible, and the Western omelet is equally impressive. I was just passing through, but it's definitely worth a stop if you're craving delicious comfort food!

2nd review update: This is my favorite restaurant for breakfast lunch. I’m always surprised to not find more people in the dining room. Only a matter of time before a LOT of people start making their way to Freeport to come to Brickyard. Fresh, homemade food that is consistently good. My 3 year old loves it and he hates everything. The food at the Brickyard is fresh and delicious! From the Turkey club to the breakfast bowl, pancakes everything was fantastic! The best breakfast potatoes, possibly in all of Pittsburgh. They have some serious breakfast taters. I’d highly recommend for a quick and delicious meal. Service: Take out Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20
