Gasthaus Gunterstal

I was in town, but I wanted a more authentic flame cue, so I took a short tram ride here. I speak limited German, but I noticed a flame cue on the special board and I ordered it. Fantastic! With red onions, mushrooms and... chives.

We found it by chance. It has a magnificent view of the black forest and you can stay there for hours and enjoy a beautiful weather and a great weather. We had to leave early when all the tables were reserved. We didn't eat there... and we only had drinks, but the staff was very friendly and we could see that the portions were big.

We stopped there by a chance on our way back from a trip to Schauinsland and were a group of very hungry adults with three kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, I loved my veggie option of Süßkartoffel-Kokos-Curryragoût mit buntem Gemüse und Berglinsen . The service...was also fine. Only on our way out we discovered a little area for kids outside of the main service room, so we will remember it for next time.

Our host in Freiburg treated us to a very special dinner in Kybfelsen Resturant. This is a German resturant but had a wide variety of dishes. All the choices sounded good and delicious and I am glad that we were not disappointed. Every one in...our group enjoyed their meals and were very satisfied. The dishes were tasty and portions large well presented. The service was pretty good too with very friendly waitress who took very good care of us. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will recommend it.

Wir hatten reserviert für 4 Personen und kamen an mit 5 Personen. Dies brachte den "Chef des Services" etwas ins rotieren. Ich machte darauf aufmerksam, dass man sehr wohl an einen 4er Tisch 5 Personen setzen kann. Die Speisen waren ok aber nicht mehr, das Wiener Schnitzel war in Ordnung, den Kartoffelsalat mit Gurken macht jede Hausfrau besser.
