Contribuisci feedbackA small tradition nouvelle cuisine.Good connection with the tram line 2, Guenterstall. You can take hotel room in Freiburg old town and take this tram to dine in KuehlerKrug. The restocard is small but marvellous. Fresh products.Good fresh fish delivered. Good vine card the best is you drink vines of the region. Also open vine served in Pigetor Krug are very good ones red or rose or white they are very good and drys. The desserts sweet are carefully prepared with first class products.You can test the freshly prepared Creme brule. Austrian pancake with homemade vanilla ice.Also small dessertcard but very very fine. The restaurant take serious with the numbers of couverts (clients) for that the room will not be to crowed this is a nice cosy one.The service is adorable full of homely atmosphere.When you also like to lodge also there are rooms in full-pension or half-pension as you like. From Koehler Krug there are small woods and tracking paths for practice you walks. Of otherweise you take the tram Nr. 2 direction center of Freiburg i.Breisgau to visit this beautiful old town full of charm and shopping if you wish. For the high-mountain fans..take a bus further in direction mountain and take cable car to reach 1000 mir. tracking path.
When visiting Freiburg I went to see the surrounding and ended up in sued. I decided to have a meal there and the quality of the meal made me go back the next day. Really affordable and excellent food.
We came to Kühler Krug on the recommendation of the Michelin (bib) guide and were not disappointed. We had a green salad for starter and the porcini tagliatelle (18 EUR) as a main. Especially the tagliatelle were delicious. Also my dessert, a lemon tart with strawberry parfait and fruits was very nice.You can eat on their terrace.
Read about this restaurant in Fodor's travel guide and decided to try it. It is a short tram or taxi ride south of the city center. We went on a Thursday evening and this restaurant feels like you are dining with germans from the local area. Beautiful classic german interior, dark oak paneling, crisp white linens. The proprietor works and serves in the dining room and they take their food and their services very seriously. The staff was quite tolerant of our lack of German language and took the time to walk us through the menu item by item. Food was exceptional and beautifully presented. If you're a foodie, you'll want to make the short trip out of the Freiburg city center to try this restaurant!
We had a lovely time. Our meals were delicious, and the atmosphere was charming.The best part was our professional, yet jovial, and extremely helpful waiter.He was quite tolerant of our inability to speak German and made fabulous recommendations for food and wine. Prices were reasonable for the experience.
