Cena in gruppo/comitiva, carne con crauti buona.La cosa strana è che era appoggiata sopra a della pasta con una specie di ragù..... il vino era insignificante, forse sarebbe stata meglio una birra. Visualizza tutti i feedback.
A chance observation from the 38A bus from Heiligenstadt on the way to Kahlenberg enabled us to explore Ristorante Francesco at 50 Grinzergerstrasse, about half way up the hill. And what a surprise. We were ushered into a large back room to a table next to a window as the main room was packed by Sunday diners. We noticed waiters running back and forth from the kitchen carrying large dishes of ordered food. Steaming hot. We decided to try the moules marinière, an old favourite, and some other dishes such as roasted salmon and mashed potato, pastai di mare, and fish soup. Our food arrived carried majestically by 2 waiters: a serving dish topped by another reversed serving dish thereby sealing the heat. Most of the waiters struggled to speak anything but German but we found an attentive lady waiter who came from Slovakia with a delightful serving style and attentive follow-up throughout the meal. The dessert was profiteroles which were an absolute delight, followed by coffee. The lunch was really good but serious exercise was later needed so we took a second 30 minute downhill walk from the top of the hill at Cobenzl down to Grinzing. This walking solution to heavy lunches anywhere is strongly recommended to all especially to those who eat at Francesco's.

Immer wieder ein purer Genuss, egal ob Calamari, Fisch oder die selbstgemachten Nudeln. Ebenfalls sehr gute Weinkarte.
Having a pasta or pizza under the big and old shady trees is lovely and a real alternative to all the "heuriger" around
Mein Lieblingsrestaurant in Grinzing. In Wien... Risotto con filetto di manzo. Seit 7 Jahren mein Lieblingsessen ❤
