The wait staff and bartenders had a lot of us to deal with and everything went flawlessly. It was a full house and the food was perfect for everyone. I can?t say enough good things. Im a foodie and this is my favorite restaurant easily. I often come alone to read at the bar, the bartender knows my order and is so cool. Amazing amazing place
Amazing place to dine at! Wonderful staff and delicious food. The chicken parm is our favorite. Great place for date night highly recommended!
We started our evening with a bottle of pinot grigio and the salmon and halibut rillettes appetizer. Normally, this delicious spread comes with slices of baguette, but we opted for vegetables instead—thankfully, as the portion was quite generous! The appetizer was outstanding; the salmon was complemented beautifully by the shallot marmalade and dill. If you’re a salmon lover, this is a must-try. For our main courses, my cousin had the second course of green tomato pappardelle pasta followed by the third course of pan-seared duck accompanied by lemon risotto and roasted carrots. I chose the filet mignon served with pommes purée, asparagus, and a nitro hollandaise sauce. While I didn’t sample the pasta, both of our main dishes were extraordinary. The duck was cooked to perfection, and the roasted carrots were equally delightful. However, my standout dish was the filet mignon; the chef presented the nitro hollandaise right at my table. The filet was as tender as butter and tasted phenomenal with the hollandaise sauce. It’s been a while since I've enjoyed such a superb cut of meat. Our service was exceptional, the food was divine, and the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant makes it a true gem in this quaint town. I highly recommend making the trip to Fremont for a unique, locally-owned dining experience that’s truly elevated for food enthusiasts.
Absolutely stunning! I already knew the food would be delicious, but I was also pleasantly surprised by how beautiful it looked. The menu changes regularly, depending on the fresh proteins and produce available. Each dish showcases creative flair with a focus on layered flavors that are fresh and satisfying. My favorite dish at Alto so far is the tagliatelle Bolognese; the homemade noodles are paired with a sauce that tastes as if it has been simmering all day, beautifully plated. I also enjoyed the truffle gnocchi with shaved truffles—it was incredibly delicious. The flavors of these dishes are truly unparalleled. The chef is committed to the farm-to-table philosophy, sourcing produce, meats, poultry, and dairy almost exclusively from personal industry connections. The constantly changing menu adds an inviting touch and an element of surprise for diners like me. Fremont, Nebraska is truly fortunate to have such a fantastic restaurant. Update: I've discovered a new favorite—cavatelli!
I ordered takeout from this restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, the food was pretty bland; it looked better than it tasted. However, I was impressed with the service—both over the phone and upon arrival—which is why I gave it 3 stars. The place itself is adorable, and the waitress was exceptionally friendly, so I’m willing to give it another try in hopes that my next experience will be better. The chicken parmesan lacked flavor, while the spaghetti was a bit better. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo needed more sauce, as the noodles were quite bland. I also noticed that the portion size of the chicken fettuccine was much smaller than that of the chicken parmesan.
