Kazuma Sushi - Fremont

Sushi is my wife's absolute favorite food, so I often accompany her wherever she goes for sushi. I usually prefer sushi rolls, but in this instance, every dish we ordered was exceptional. If it's your first visit, I recommend sticking to the Thumbs Up menu options. Food rating: 5/5.

However, the ratio of rice to fish or meat in the Don dishes leaned too heavily towards the rice, leaving us feeling less satisfied after our meals. Additionally, the order in which the food arrived was off. Our sushi rolls only came out after we had nearly finished all the main dishes, which is rather counterproductive for something typically served as an appetizer. Unfortunately, this happened both times we visited. The servers kept asking if we needed anything else, and our response was consistently, "Our sushi." Moreover, our salads arrived quite late into the meal; we even had to inquire about them, unsure whether they were included with our orders. On a positive note, they did keep us well-hydrated with water since it was a hot day. Overall, our experience was good, but there’s definitely room for improvement. I am confident that they will eventually get the timing of the food delivery right. We’ll continue to recommend this neighborhood Japanese restaurant and plan to visit again, hoping to eventually award them that coveted 5-star rating.

The waitstaff were incredibly friendly, and the rolls were excellent. The fish was exceptionally fresh. I would definitely return just for the green tea! Food: 5/5

The food was amazing and the service was top notch. The taste of Korean BBQ beef steak was amazing sure. will visit again soon

After the ownership change, we went here for the first time today. The owner Richard was going around talking to patrons and was very nice. He gave us Spicy Edamame and the Miso soup on the house. Genma cha was also on the house. We ordered the Flaming Dragon, OMG, and the Scallop classic rolls. The food was pretty good. The service was great and prompt. We've been to Kazuma many times but this time it felt special. We're definitely going to keep visiting and wish Richard the very best!
