We also tried a couple of ribeyes, which were cooked quite nicely (though I would have preferred mine a bit rarer, which is hard to fix once it's done). I'm disappointed that they only serve baked potatoes on Wednesdays. I think they could be more creative with leftover baked potatoes. The service was, as always, excellent in Nebraska! Everywhere we went, people were so cheerful and friendly, from the grocery store to the coffee shops. Woodcliff will always hold a special place in my heart for its charming log cabin atmosphere.
My daughter and I accidentally discovered this restaurant while searching for a good meal on our way back home to the Norfolk area from Omaha. We were craving something satisfying—definitely not fast food, perhaps a steak or a salad. While I was driving, she found this gem. It was a bit out of the way, requiring us to exit the highway and drive a couple of miles, but it was absolutely worth it. The service was outstanding, and the food was amazing. Honestly, it was the best wedge salad I’ve ever had! I can't wait to go back! This small-town Nebraska spot truly outshined the fancy foods of L.A.
**Food:** My husband and I ordered the 8 oz sirloin, and our friend opted for the chicken teriyaki dish, while we shared some mushroom fries. The sirloin I had was delicious—I loved the flavors and the sauce they used. I also appreciated that the portion sizes were just right, leaving us satisfied without feeling overstuffed (though I wouldn't have minded a few more veggies!). The steak was cooked perfectly for my taste. My husband enjoyed his sirloin as well; it was slightly fatty but incredibly tasty, definitely worth ordering again. Our friend has a strong affinity for their coconut shrimp, but since it wasn't on the menu this time, she went for the chicken teriyaki instead. She devoured it completely, and while she said it didn’t match the coconut shrimp, she still enjoyed it! Regarding the mushroom fries, I’m not a big fan of deep-fried foods, but my husband liked them! **Service:** The service here was outstanding! We felt truly taken care of, with the staff being incredibly kind and genuinely friendly. It almost felt like we were all friends! They do an excellent job of making everyone feel welcomed and satisfied. **Atmosphere:** The Woodcliff restaurant is the place to be for anyone who lives near Woodcliff Lake or even further away. It's a hot spot within the lake community, and we had the chance to visit thanks to a dinner invitation from friends who live nearby. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations from the outside; I was a bit apprehensive about the possibility of food poisoning since it doesn't look too appealing from the street. But as the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover! The interior is warm and inviting, with a cozy cabin-like vibe enhanced by string lights on the back patio and a warm yellow glow indoors. Everyone seemed excited to be there, and from what I've heard, it’s consistently busy (which is a good sign!). While it’s not the cheapest place around, I believe you get what you pay for. This restaurant truly is a delicious hidden gem that I wish more people knew about!
Always great food and drinks Friendly wait staff. Steak night is Wednesday and a very good value
Had the tuna sashimi last night. $15 appetizer could have been a meal. Some of the best we have had any where. Steak special Wednesday night for $15. Hard to beat. $11 Thursday burger special. So creative.
