Ole Frijole Restaurant - Fresno

Feels like a real Mexican restaurant. Everything was good.. not great, but still good: All employees were really nice. Actually, all the food except salad bar liked pastas that are not Mexican style. I recommend trying this place for a decent amount of money!: $15

That was a restaurant that my parents would bring our family back in the 70s. You've since closed the restaurant in the city where I live. We were traveling and remembered that they had a restaurant in Fresno and decided to stop for lunch. The cheese enchiladas still tasted the same as years ago. The fried chicken and tacos were also the same. I even think the plates were the same design. I spilled back memories.

30. August 2022 a group of us went to Ole Frijole on Blackstone in Fresno. We were very disappointed by the quality of food on the buffet line along with the desserts. The food was tasteless – everything had a sweet taste. During dinner there were very little shops. Only six tables of customers............. The salad was very warm and the salad dress was thinned and tasteless. The Enchiladas were tasteless and had nothing but cheese in them. The fried chicken was also tasteless and seemed artificial. The tacos were under the heat lamp so long that they were tasteless. Because it's a lot of money, and it was so good that I didn't feed to my father! The only positive comment is that the bus lady was very efficient and our dirty plates consistently and quickly picked up! The Büffet Line staff was very obvious and repeated the food, although the food was absolutely terrible. Ole Frijole deserves a ONE STAR for all the above reasons! I have been in the restaurant for almost 50 years and would not recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Yes I know it's a Mexican restaurant but I love the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Desert ice cream over a piece of cake.

I remember eating here as a child.. the fried chicken and cheese enchiladas were always so good and as an adult they were still just as good.. it was very busy because it was Father's Day... everything was clean.. the food was hot..my family plans on going back..
