I've eaten kebab there several times. Satisfied every time. By the way, the coffee there is very good! Highly recommended! Otherwise, price-performance and quality are right. Best quality far and wide! Update February 11, 2023 This evening I had the kebab plate. Portion home-style, fresh and very tasty. The homemade bread was served fresh from the oven, fries were well seasoned and the salad was crisp and fresh. A good friend came there with me today and he is also thrilled with the quality.
Traveled from Zurich. Perfect kebab, everything exactly as it should be. I give the owner 10 stars and gave me a kebab for the ride home. Top Top Top!!!
The owner, Fong, loves her cooking and is happy to share the flavours and tastes of her home country. This is evident in the food she offers which is always fresh just made and authentic. Dont mistake Lotus for a restaurant, it isn 't, it caters for the lunchtime throng of hungry students and local office workers motivated by gurgling stomachs seeking something different at a good price and Fong more than meets this expectation. Lotus serves up Vietnamese flavored sandwiches and a minimalist lunchtime wok menu (rice noodle dishes) but don 't let this deter you. Everything that comes out of her kitchen tastes great! At one time, she also took lunch orders in advance and prepared them to be delivered just before lunch to the company reception, but I think those days are over. Mind you, if you and your fellow office workers along Perolles Boulevard or in the vicinity haven 't tried Lotus yet, you should. She speaks English and is always happy to serve, which in Switzerland is often a rare trait!
This a take away with a few tables for those who want to eat straightaway and mainly patronised by the student population it is only open at lunch time on week days. The food is a hybrid between Vietnamese and Chinese styles and not bad at all and I go there a couple of times a month when I need something quick for lunch.
