B1895 Tavern - Friendswood

A few months ago, I visited this restaurant for dinner with my husband, and it was a disappointing experience. When I noticed that they now serve breakfast, I thought I would give it another chance. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of my least enjoyable dining experiences. The menu is quite limited, so we ordered the only dish without pork (other than the pancakes), but when our plates arrived, they were overflowing with crispy bacon. I asked for it to be returned. After waiting about 30 minutes for our food to be remade, I was horrified to find a long black hair in my eggs! It was truly unappetizing. The waiter was very kind and took the plate back to order a new one, but when it finally arrived, it was undercooked. Overall, this meal was far from satisfactory.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at this restaurant. I was initially concerned about the prices since everything is ordered à la carte, but the portions were generous enough to share. The Bob Ross tenders were fantastic—cooked perfectly, and the variety of sauces was a delight. The decor was charming, and we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t too crowded for a Saturday around 5 PM, so we didn’t have to wait. Overall, we were very satisfied with both our meal and the service!

I waited 5 minutes for a server and then decided to leave. The restaurant was empty at 5 PM. The food and service used to be excellent, but it seems like something has changed. After reading other reviews, I feel like I was the last to find out about this decline.

The food was good and the service was friendly but SOOOOO SLOW. Plenty of parking. The lamb tacos were good but very greasy. The bananas foster was good but over the top sweet with the ice cream. The eggs bacon and browns were tasty. The mimosas are $2 on Sundays.

It took 15 minutes to get a menu, 10 minutes to get drinks, and then 50 minutes to get our food. Then it took 10 minutes to get a check, and another 10 minutes to get the bill back. The service was horrible. The food was decent, but absolutely not worth the service. We watched people come in after us, get there food, and leave before us. I would not recommend eating here.
