Contribuisci feedbackThis is a nice little coffee shop. The workers are helpful and friendly. They won’t let you use your own personal coffee cup, on account of the pandemic I guess. Unfortunately this does help contribute to single use plastic again, so we are just trading one disaster for another, unfortunately. It does have a nice sit down area. The AC is very very cold inside, so bring a sweater if you plan to sit down for a while.
Every time we go they're out of something or forget our food order. Ordered the ham and cheese croissant and Philly cheesesteak burrito with our coffees. Waited 40 minutes, walked up to the counter for them to say they forgot and didn't have any croissant left. We went at 8am and left at 840am with empty stomachs and regret. Go for the coffee and bring a snack.
Back at it with my coffee shop reviews! Tried Dunn Bros. finally! I really love the atmosphere within the location, which seems to reflect the local area (Friendswood). It always makes me happy to see restaurants, especially chains, that reflect the community around them, making them so much more personal! My husband got the FrutiTea Infusion Watermelon Strawberry and I got the Iced Raspberry White Mocha (Latte) the first time we visited. My husband really enjoyed the FrutiTea Infusion and I liked the sip I had as well. If you had ever tried the Watermelon Mint Lemonade at Chick-fil-a a few summers ago it kind of had that similar flavor (which is one of their best summer drinks they've ever had in my opinion). The latte was not my favorite flavor, but it was definitely not something I normally get but it sounded interesting. I went back a few weeks later and tried their iced mocha and it tastes similar to Dunkin Donuts mocha, with a stronger coffee flavor and not super sweet, which is my preferred taste when it comes to a mocha. Overall, my experiences have been good. I like the coffee, although it is usually farther out of the way I don't get around to it often. I recommend it if you've never had it, but make sure to try something you really like first to test it out (which should be a rule of thumb everywhere you go).
The people who work here are very nice and accommodating but that still doesn’t make up for the problems. We ordered a raspberry white chocolate scone that tasted and felt about 3 days old. The worst part was there was what looked like a dog hair poking out of one part of the scone. I realized this about half way in : Second, when I went to look for utensils for the avocado toast that we ordered all, and I mean every last piece of plastic utensil provided by the establishment was covered in dust or some other form of crud/hair. Believe me folks, I literally searched every last piece of utensil they had before giving up and reverting to eating with my hands : : we wanted to like this place given the good reviews but unfortunately can’t give it a stamp of approval. We will not be returning.
You know...the coffee here wasn't too bad....a little strong for my liking....but I did have an iced latee....which uses espresso shots.... I'll opt for drip next time
