To top it off, we were hit with an automatic 20% gratuity. We wanted to order desserts for the kids, but half of the items on the menu were unavailable. This was all on a Sunday afternoon after 2 PM, and the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. We spent two hours just trying to enjoy our pizza. Unless things improve, I won’t be returning.
Everything started off well when my boyfriend and I arrived and were promptly seated at a table for two. Shortly thereafter, we were greeted by Justina, who was also working behind the bar. We ordered The Don and were looking forward to enjoying some cheesecake for dessert. The restaurant was not busy, so I was taken aback when we waited nearly 40 minutes for our pizza. I glanced around multiple times and noticed that the staff didn’t seem overwhelmed either. I understand that delays can happen, which is why we never complained or pressed Justina about the wait, but in hindsight, that may have been a mistake on our part. Justina didn't communicate that our order might take longer, leading me to wonder if she had forgotten to ring us in. We ordered our 12-inch pizza around 1:35 PM and didn’t receive it until 2:13 PM. To add to our frustration, we saw another couple who arrived after us getting their food much sooner and already eating when we were still waiting. When our server finally brought the pizza, she remarked, "It’s late, but it’s hot," acknowledging the delay without offering an apology. Additionally, we had to wait quite a while for our drink refills, and when they finally arrived, the glasses weren’t even filled to the top, which was quite surprising! As for the pizza itself, it initially appeared slightly overcooked and questionable, but to my surprise, it was delicious. The crust had the perfect crispness, and I truly enjoyed it. This only adds to my disappointment since good service would have elevated the experience even further.
We celebrated my son's birthday at the restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. Pablo and Cristina provided excellent attention to our family and guests. The pizzas we ordered were fresh and delicious. Pablo, the manager, made a special effort to accommodate our table, and Cristina went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. A big thank you to both of you for making my son's birthday so memorable!
Second time visiting this place and both times had bad experience but this time was the icing on the cake. Walking in the restaurant noticed the A/C was out in the whole restaurant, hot n humid in the place. They had portable A/C units going butdidn't help much. Then my wife ordered a salad, when she was eating it, she bit into a piece of metal, which looked like a rivetto a pot or something. We immediately asked to speak with a manager, when he came up we showed him what was in the food. Heasked about going to the hospital, and to fill an incident report out. My wife said that's fine to fill the incident report out, night went on nothing was filled out, nor did the manager come back to the table asking if everything was fine. He took off mywife's salad n that was it. The server was good she kept up with us as we were 16 people. Food quality was not there 3 of the 7pizzas we ordered came out wrong, my son also broke out in a rash after eating his pizza, which he don't have any food allergiesat all. The place just looks and smells dirty. Will not be going back here, not worth the wait of over an hr to get a pizza andit taste like boo boo.
I have to say that the food was quite good. We ordered small house salads, which turned out to be large and delicious. The 18-inch pizza was also big and very tasty. However, the service was lacking. There were seven adults and three kids under ten in our group. I had a glass of water that was never refilled. When my daughter ordered a side of marinara sauce to go with her pizza, the waitress only brought it out when she delivered the box to take the leftovers. We ordered three 18-inch pizzas and three 12-inch pizzas for the kids, but the last pizza (the 12-inch) arrived just as the first two 18-inch pizzas were almost finished. Additionally, we were hit with an automatic 20% gratuity, which felt excessive. We wanted to order dessert afterward, but they had run out of half the items on the menu—it was Sunday afternoon after 2 PM, and the restaurant wasn't very busy. We spent two hours there just eating pizza, and I don't plan on returning unless some changes are made.
