El Tapatio is the best Mexican food in the valley. Dont waste your time and money anywhere else. We were on vacation visiting Colorado National Monument and saw this restaurant on the way in Fruita. We went at 3:30 in the afternoon and we were the only ones there (but not for long). The bathrooms were super clean and I glanced into the kitchen which was also very clean. I started out ordering a house margarita which was very good. I judge Mexican food with a Chile Relleno and he checks out the cheese enchilada. They offered a crisp version of the Chile Relleno which I had never tried, and after Carlos, our server said it was the best, I had to give it a try. It was heavenly delicious The enchiladas were a winner also! Will definitely visit this place in the future. Excellent.

I had supper here after visiting the Colorado National Monument. It was a very hot August day but I walked next door and sat at the bar. Noah was the bartender and he quickly got me an ice cold bottle of Coors Light. I got the shredded beef burrito and it was delicious it came out hot and fast. If you are in Fruita I highly recommend this place I think four guys greeted me when I came in all very friendly and welcoming. All the employees were very nice and the food was delicious the beers were ice-cold what else could you ask for!
