I had my wings in spicy BBQ. It came with fries and toast. For my dipping I picked blue cheese and honey mustard. The wings were bit dry. Wasn't enough sauce to really get a good taste of spicy BBQ. The tenders were on point. Juicy, warm and fresh. The Blue cheese dipping sauce was on point as well. The toast was tasty and crunchy. Fries were seasoned and fresh but found them bit salty. Overall, the meal was satisfying and tasty. I found it a bit pricey for the meal, as I paid almost 14 bucks. But the cherry on the top was they had cherry coke as a choice... haha. Definitely worth a try if you are visiting Destin or Ft Walton Beach area! Until next time keep exploring and grubbing!
Tried them again and the wings just don't do it for me. I did try a couple of chicken tenders though and they were seasoned and taste good. First visit My wings were bland. I asked for them to be fried with ranch on the side. They give a military discount. I will try them again.
I decided to give Slim Chickens a try today and discovered they have Chicken Waffles! OMG! They were super delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the flavor paired wonderfully with the waffle! I will definitely be returning!
I just visited this restaurant and the food was really good! The fries were definitely the highlight, and the chicken was tasty too. My boyfriend highly recommended the cayenne ranch, although he thought the Slim sauce and honey BBQ were just average. The waffle was classic Belgian style and still quite enjoyable! Overall, it's definitely better than Zaxby's. We're planning to come back to try some of their appetizers and desserts! Additionally, the interior was clean and nicely decorated, and the staff was friendly despite being busy.
Let’s talk about the milkshake. At $3.99 for a tiny drink, I was surprised to find a very wide straw, which I’ve never seen before. I was excited, thinking this straw was perfect for a milkshake. Boy, was I wrong! The milkshake was so thick that regardless of the straw, there was no way I could drink it. I ordered a chocolate milkshake, and all they did was add chocolate syrup to a vanilla shake. For $4, I expected a real chocolate milkshake. Now onto the club sandwich, which is a little over $7 without fries. Insane! They placed a small piece of chicken on a giant bun to make it look more substantial. Once I started eating, I realized just how small the chicken was. The only flavor came from the bacon, which was decent but pretty salty. I ended up with about a third of the bun left after running out of chicken. Maybe that’s a personal issue, but if I’m paying over $7 for a chicken sandwich, it better be a decent size. This sandwich was very greasy and oily, so the bread might not hold up well if you take it to go. Just take a look at the shine in my photo. Lastly, the fries were just okay. They certainly didn’t live up to the $3 price tag and were lacking in flavor. In conclusion, paying $15 for one fast food meal is ridiculous. For what I received, I wouldn’t pay more than $8. They should consider removing the milkshake from the menu.
