However a lot has changed and it appears it must be under new ownership. Food is subpar, of course the ice cream is fine. However, the girls behind the counter were very unfriendly. From now on when I want ice cream in going to the stand right next door, much friendlier workers.
Went here since I was a kid and now it's just always not good or they don't have what we want
I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. I went there for dinner with my family on Saturday, and the cooks were arguing and yelling at each other in the kitchen. There was only one waitress at the front counter, which made the service even slower. It took over 20 minutes for us to receive a cheeseburger, a chicken sandwich, and an order of chicken tenders. To make matters worse, I found two hairs on my burger, and the waitress forgot our drinks not once, but twice. The food was excessively salty and overcooked. This place seems to rely on its novelty appeal for car enthusiasts, but I doubt it will last more than 10 years once the older crowd stops bringing in their hot rods.
This is the best place I've ever eaten at! Just keep in mind that it's not a fast food restaurant, but the service was prompt. The waitresses were incredibly friendly, and the burgers were delicious. I go there every weekend just for the fries—they're amazing! I highly recommend this spot. Kaitlyn and Denna were the waitresses who served me, and they were both very nice.
When she returned, my son asked for a drink refill, but we didn't receive it until 45 minutes later. To make matters worse, after that long wait, she informed us that there was no turkey available for my nephew's turkey sub. He chose a different meat, and we waited another 45 minutes for our food. After all that, it took an additional 20 minutes for her to bring out multiple missing items from our meals and the utensils we needed to eat. Each time she came back, she made comments blaming the kitchen staff and not taking responsibility herself, which I found very unprofessional. The food was terrible, and considering the price, the portions were small. Once we finished eating, she asked if we wanted dessert but then told us they were out of ice cream. Anyone from this area knows that Sweet Inspirations is famous for its ice cream, so my kids, who were really looking forward to it, were disappointed. She recommended we go next door for ice cream instead. To top it all off, everyone in our party of nine had diarrhea within 20 minutes of leaving the restaurant. I am absolutely appalled by this experience.
