We just walked all the way from the toboggan run, 40 minutes down a very steep slope. Pained with our leg muscles and knees, it was time for a lunch snack. The prego was very nice (an alho) and the chips were crispy and...fresh. We noticed that the majority of people in were locals, which probably tells you that this is one of the rare jewels in Funchal, where you would have beautiful food for half of what you would pay 200 meters on the road by the sea.
I visited about six times and was never disappointed! The burgers are great with bacon and an egg on a local bungalow. Many chips in Oregano.
Tasty Bolo de caco with picanha or minced meats and oregano bestowed frits. Unbeatable price quality in a pedestrian zone right in front of the Funchal Cathedral.
Stopped for a quick bite of lunch. Ordered burger and tuna toasted sandwich. Both come with chips excellent value food . Burger and tuna toasted sandwich was very good. Beer also a good pint. Great stop for a bite of lunch.
