Restaurante Red Lion - Funchal

Unfortunately this restaurant has closed down and food and drinks are no longer available It is a shame as it was always a busy place Unfortunately I think covid claimed another casualty

The Red Lion serves good food at reasonable prices Very friendly staff and nice menu. Well worth a visit

We stopped by this place for a quick dring for old tomes'sake as we remembered it from a previous visit ti Madeira. Obviously the place had changed considerably but the staff were very friendly and the snacks were very good indeed. WE shall certainly return to this place.

We always come to the red lion for our evening meal. Beautifully presented and delicious. The staff are most helpful and obliging, very friendly. We came the last week in January and before then,September and October. Cannot wait to visit again.

At first this restaurant was a little austere. We were early. As the restaurant filled the atmosphere became warm and friendly. It is a fun place made more fun by the lively staff. My wife's tuna carpaccio was a true delight.My veal wasl excellent too. In fact the whole experience was wonderful. Would I return, where are we going tonight?
