Virtu's - Funchal

This is a great place to eat. Its busy for a reason, the food is excellent. Mske sure to try the chicken wings and don't miss out on the picados! We will definitely come again, we only wish we'd found it earlier.

My wife and I discovered this little bar when visiting Funchal last year, so returned some evenings again this year. Same great prices for drinks, easy service etc. Plenty of locals in, but don't let that put you off. Don't expect a posh bar, that's not it's style but it's comfortable and probably cheapest drinks in Funchal. No problems to recommend for non posers and we'll always drop in when in Funchal. Have been visiting Virtus Bar since it opened. Great place to have a drink. Coffees are good and in the weekday Prato do dia is usually very good. Friendly staff and prices are reasonable. Handy place to stop before or after you shop in Forum Madeira.

Love this bar and the food is fantastic and the staff are so welcoming and helpful. The coffee and fab a great breakfast pick me up. Please support this great local business they work hard and the ambiance is great x

My wife and I often dropped in at this locals bar for a drink in the evening. Its simply a local bar, but pleasant service and probably the cheapest drinks in Funchal. Huge 250 glass of reasonable wine for 2€. Beers also very good value. Don't expect upmarket, that's not it's style, but it deserves 5 stars for sheer value and relaxed service.
