The soup was salty and it was something that we could have easily cooked with ingredients bought from the local supermarket. I wouldn't come back here again for the food. Thankfully the mediocre hotpot was somewhat redeemed with a melon sake that was great for its price. Service was good. For two seafood hotpots, a small beef soup and melon sake, we paid over 8,000 yen.
Overrated, Expensive, and the food is not tasty as you think. I ordered the hot-pot with three types of meat, however when it came out it was topping with frozen meat, didn't you defrost some of it when mise en place? You boiled the frozen meat then finally you will only get a really dry meat. What a waste. that's just one of the example, anyway I don't recommend this restaurant.
This is one of those weird instances where I would recommend a place even though I didn’t care much for what I ordered. To be honest the wagyu roast beef rice bowl wasn’t that great. It’s not that it wasn’t good, it just lacked flavor. At a price of 2000 yen, I expected it to be better. With that said, everyone else in my party ordered the curry and they loved it. I wish I would have ordered it myself. There are also plenty of interesting items on the menu including some bear and deer meat dishes! I’d come back to check these out.
Details for foreigners: Arrived: 11:15am and the queue already formed to the next house. Start: 11:30am. The server will ask for the number and direct you in. I managed to get the second floor and there are actually plenty of seats. We were told it’s busy and also designated to the left of the Long table. You are expected to share tables. Don’t worry, it’s actually quite spacious. Ordering: Press the Bell! A lot of people ordered the omelette curry rice and our group ordered Raw Wagyu beef rice, buttered potato, sea herring role and corn. Towards the end of the menu, there are pictures. Menu comes with English words. Btw, don’t spend on drinks as water is available. The server will inform you where the cups are. Food: 3/5 wagyu. It’s tender but very little. There are a lot of rice. 2/5 potato. 5/5 corn. This is a must have. 3/5 role. Very salty, unless you having beer, skipped. Exit: once you are done, proceed first floor for payment in Cash! Overall: I think the curry omelette rice is the main star. Will be back to try that.
Famous for it wagyu beef almost everyone ordered their wagyu beef don. Simple but delightful present for fresh sliced beef on top of perfectly cooked rice. The beef has a perfect blend of sweetness with the soft texture between the fats and meat. We also ordered the wagyu steak which was i think a level up compared to the raw beef. When cooked you the outburst of flavours and sweetness from the fats and meat of the beef is just divine. Really recommend to try the grill wagyu steak. The other appetiser were very good too especially the scallops.
