Nice spot next to the water, very helpful young people at the service. But how uncomfortable are these metal seats without even a single cushion. The list is very limited. The only well-known and classic dishes are the village dishes that were not village dishes... and the 2 dishes of the day not listed. As for the flavors, they were relatively good. The fava bean was very teased, it didn't taste like fava beans and the sweet bergamot was an irrelevant exaggeration, the caramelized onions, pine nuts and tangy capers were enough to tease as much as needed. The tomato jam next to the talagani was completely tasteless (garlic overkill that didn't add anything) when it wasn't even sweet. The falafels were particularly dry and the tahini sauce did not save the situation. The afelia had the pork bites very well cooked, but it was an unremarkable dish. The salt and pepper didn't taste it either. It lacked something sour. In general, the efforts for the different taste for the sought-after composition were commendable, but the result was not what was expected.
We ate very well, the fish of the day was well cooked and excellent. Pleasant servers. Baby chair and baby meals top. We recommend ! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €35–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
This particular restaurant stands out from all the rest on the island! Very nice atmosphere and EXCELLENT food!!! Great flavors indeed and very good prices for what it provides on an island that is particularly expensive! 5 stars and few are... Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Veragi as a restaurant has been in the same spot for some years now but only recently it was taken over by a truly inspired and very talented chef. Mixing elements from local and Cypriot cuisine, she created a small menu that includes traditional recipes with much needed modern twists. Dishes that explode with flavours so Greek and authentic that makes you sigh with each mouthful. The waiting staff were polite and attentive making the dining experience almost perfect. Situated in the west seafront of Lefkada town, with views to the Ponte, Gyra and the most glorious summer sunsets, Veragi is a real gem and a breath of fresh air that is so much needed in the island’s restaurant scene.
