Contribuisci feedbackOverall a good night. First thing I noticed was how cold it was in the restaurant. Our server was excellent. She constantly checked on us and took care of any needs we had. The meal was good and filling. Especially the shrimp and grits, The crab cakes and asparagus were the same. If you are looking for a nice Saturday night restaurant I recommend 440 Main.
My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip to Bowling Green and check out some of the restaurants and bars with the best reviews. Although 440 on Main had some great feedback from previous customers I was surprisingly disappointed.Our reservation was at 7pm. We arrived by 6:45pm and were sat right away, which was great! However we ordered our food at 6:55 and our food didn’t make it to our table until 8:10 pm. The waitress and staff were attentive and polite. The atmosphere and ambience were terrific and the food was delicious, but it really put a damper on our night having to wait that long on our food. I noticed that many of the tables around me also waited this long for their food. I’m not sure if this was an “off” night for this establishment, but I would ask how long it will take for your food to make it to your table before committing to this restaurant.
Food was delicious, service was polite and attentive, atmosphere was nice, but we waited 70 mins for our food to arrive to our table. If it weren't for that we'd come back, but 70 mins is entirely too long.
Went for a work dinner. Impressed with the entire meal. Not disappointing at all. Will be back with my husband.
They were too busy to provide good service. Not knowing what is in a dish is problem. People may have allergies so if it isn't listed on the menu and I ask what else is in it, I should get a correct answer. I ordered the crème brûlée “with berries”. When it arrived without berries I was surprised so I asked. That was part of the reason I picked that dessert. The response was “we are out...... let me see what I can do.” What I got was 3 unripe raspberries...... why bother. Finally, Little things like having water refilled (or a carafe of water at the table) are expected by me at this level of a restaurant. When a second glass of wine for dinner is ordered..... it should arrive when dinner arrives and we should not have to remind the waiter or be told “I haven't gotten to that yet.” The experience could have been better in a lot of ways. It is a shame because it otherwise could have been a charming restaurant.
